Samsung Galaxy Book Windows 10 tablet to reportedly feature S Pen and Air Command

Recently, an app in the Windows Store revealed that Samsung Galaxy Book is in the works. First hints about the tablet appeared back in 2012 when Samsung filed a trademark for a "Galaxy Book". The tablet is purported to sport an AMOLED display, pen support, and a battery life extender feature that limits the maximum charge to 85%. Now, some more details about the device have surfaced from the same application.

As reported by MSPoweruser, the tablet will support LTE while Samsung's S Pen sports almost all of the Note series' features, including an eraser and support for Samsung's Air Command. The functionality is activated when the stylus is removed from its holder however it's not yet confirmed whether this holder is integrated or separated from the tablet. It can also be activated by hovering the stylus over the screen and tapping the S Pen button.

On the Note series, Air Command allows users to access an array of different functionalities on their handset including Samsung Notes, Samsung Select, and Screen Write.

The report also claims that the tablet will include Samsung's Screen Dimming feature. This functionality allows the device's front-facing camera to detect the presence of the user and accordingly keep the backlight on. The screen is also purported to have different modes including Photo and Cinema.

That said, the timeframe of the device's release is not yet clear, but it'll be interesting to see how the Samsung Galaxy Book stacks up against other devices on the market.
