More than 1,000 games are currently under development by ID@Xbox developers

The ID@Xbox program was created to enable qualified game developers to self-publish their digital games on Xbox One and Windows 10 with Xbox Live. The program was announced in August 2013 and the first indie games were released in 2014.

Yesterday, more than three years after ID@Xbox was first announced, Chris Charla, director of ID@Xbox at Microsoft, announced that more than 1,000 games are now under development by the program's developers:

Finally, Charla has announced that some of those games will be featured by Microsoft at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2017, to be held in San Francisco, CA, from February 27 to March 3. Also, we already know that Microsoft will distribute Windows Holographic kits for developers at the conference and that Cities: Skylines for Xbox One will be showcased at the event as well.

Stay tuned for Neowin's coverage of GDC 2017 next week!
