NBA brings original content to Google's Daydream VR platform with 'House of Legends' series

If you can't get enough of the National Basketball Association (NBA) in your life, you're about to get a whole lot more courtesy of Google Daydream's new app, NBA VR.

The new app will offer a robust and immersive experience that will transport fans into a lavish lounge complete with its own half court. Beyond offering highlights and personalized player and team stats, it will also feature an original series, "House of Legends". The series will offer episodic content and feature NBA stars James Worthy, Robert Horry, John Starks, and others - and will allow fans to get to know NBA legends on a more intimate level through interviews.

In order to enjoy the app, users will need to have a Google Daydream headset and also a compatible device. Currently, there are only a handful of compatible devices available like Google's Pixels, the ZTE Axon 7, and the Moto Z. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro and Asus ZenFone AR are expected to join the Daydream compatible lineup soon. As for the Daydream headset, you can now pick one up at its discounted price of $49.
