Nintendo console emulator Dolphin gets update to '5.0' after nearly three years

It's been a long road for the Dolphin emulator, what started as pet project in 2003, has blossomed into an amazing emulator that can run GameCube, Wii, and Triforce titles on Windows, OSX, Linux and Android. After a nearly three years, the emulator is back, with a new version that has brought ample refinements.

Dolphin 5.0 offers a huge changelog of fixes that will bring better performance, but at the same time offer improved efficiency. The graphics system has been revamped thanks to the emulators use of D3D11, OpenGL 3 and newer APIs. The audio will also receive an enhancement, but this comes in the form of reducing latency that was present in the previous version.

The enhancements mentioned above are only a small sampling of changes that have come with the new update. For the full details, be sure to head to the source link below. Dolphin 5.0 is now available for Windows and OSX, with an Android update set to arrive later down the line.
