Although it's not perfect, you can once again remap Samsung's Bixby button on the Galaxy S8

With the Galaxy S8 and S8+, Samsung is also hoping to introduce consumers to its new digital assistant, Bixby. While it won't be fully ready in the United States, the assistant is an important part of the experience, with the firm going as far as dedicating a hardware button on its latest handsets for the feature. The hardware button was initially able to be remapped via a third party app, but Samsung issued an update prior to the launch of the devices that denied the use of that feature. Luckily, a new method has surfaced that will yet again offer users a choice.

The solution isn't perfect, but developer Dave Bennett has thrown together an app that will allow users to launch Google Now by pressing the Bixby button. As you can see from the video above, when you press the Bixby button, Samsung's assistant will pop up for a split second, before Google Now comes to the foreground to replace it. Bennett has warned that he put this app together in 20 minutes, and stated that he can flesh it out and polish it up further if there is interest.
