PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds for Xbox One discounted to $12 on the Microsoft Store

There's no doubt that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is a huge hit in the gaming crowd following its Version 1.0 launch late last year, having passed three million players on the Xbox One through the end of 2017. Earlier this year, Microsoft offered the game for free with Xbox One X purchases following a similar move in December.

The third-person battle royale title normally costs $29.99 in the United States on the Microsoft Store, but, as spotted by Windows Central, PUBG is now 60 percent off via the online marketplace. That means the Microsoft Store is offering PUBG for just $12, though there's no word on when the discount expires. As always, customers have the option to either request for the game to be shipped to their address or grab it from a store.

Last month, PUBG also received a massive 33 percent discount after the game crossed a total of 400 million players worldwide across multiple platforms including Steam, Xbox One, iOS, and Android since its launch as an Early Access title early last year. The game is also set to receive a number of updates in the future. At its E3 conference in June, Microsoft announced that War Mode and PUBG's third map will arrive on the Xbox One sometime this year.
