iPhone X named as one of the best inventions of 2017 by TIME Magazine

iPhone X

The tenth-anniversary iPhone X was introduced in September with the handset hitting retail shelves on November 3rd. The device came with radical design changes and new features which were not present in the previous iterations of the device to justify the $999 price tag. The all-new iPhone X was named as one of the best inventions of 2017 by TIME Magazine, along with a handful of other innovative products.

The iPhone X came with radical changes to mark its tenth-anniversary, with the most notable one being the removal of the home button and Touch ID. This is not the first time Apple has decided to let go of an important feature when it comes to the iPhone, earlier the company ditched the 3.5mm headphone jack with the iPhone 7.

Additionally, the new iPhone X came with several new features including the TrueDepth camera system which also powers FaceID authentication on the new device. The new FaceID authentication isn't foolproof as people have already managed to bypass it using proper resources.

The removal of home button shouldn't be a big issue as Apple introduced a bunch of new gestures to perform day-to-day tasks like heading back to the home screen, switching between apps, etc. It may take some time to get used to them, but it will become the norm as time passes on.
