Dark Souls studio reveals Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice for Xbox One, PC, and PS4

FromSoftware teased a new project it is working on during The Game Awards last year, only showing the tagline Shadows Die Twice. We finally got to see what exactly it is during Microsoft's E3 conference, with a full unveiling of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice arriving at the event.

Much like the developer's previous ventures like Dark Souls and Bloodborne, the new title is a third-person action game with RPG elements. The game takes place in an alternate Japan during the late 1500s, where players take the role of a "disgraced and disfigured warrior rescued from the brink of death," who must rescue his master and go on a journey of revenge against his "arch nemesis."

Players will be going against plenty of over-sized but creative opponents that should offer plenty of attack patterns to memorize, as we have come to expect from the acclaimed studio. The player character's apparent high agility thanks to his prosthetic arm attachments and ninja skills was a highlight as well.

Being published by Activision, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has an early 2019 release window and is headed for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 with a $59.99 price tag.
