Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is now available to all users

It has been almost three months since Microsoft first started rolling out the latest feature update to Windows 10. With a strong emphasis on bringing Mixed Reality experiences to the masses, the Fall Creators Update has now reached full availability.

The initial rollout of the update was staggered, as Microsoft explains in a new blog post, to ensure that devices that were believed to be optimal recipients for the upgrade were targeted first. Using the data Microsoft and its partners have obtained from testing and feedback on this initial wave of upgrades, the company has further optimised its software to provide a smooth experience for all. Microsoft now feels confident enough that it's making the Fall Creators Update available to consumers or enterprise users alike.

Microsoft also touted the relatively quick adoption rate of the Fall Creators Update, which has now reached more than 100 million devices. The company also claimed the update had the highest customer satisfaction ratings of all Windows 10 updates to date.

While patting itself on the back for the success of Windows 10, Microsoft also took note of the recent reports of CPU vulnerabilities and urged users to make certain their devices remain up-to-date with all the latest patches.

With full availability, users around the world should be able to see version 1709 of Windows 10 in the Windows Update tab of the Settings app. Those who are still unable to see the update on their device can also manually start the process by navigating to the Software Download page for the Fall Creators Update and clicking on 'Update now'.
