Bethesda is giving away The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind on its launcher [Update]

The Elder Scrolls series began its long-running journey 25 years ago with the release of Arena, and Bethesda is celebrating the occasion with a giveaway. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, released all the way back in 2002, is now available to grab for free for an entire day, March 25.

The giveaway is running on Bethesda's own launcher, however, so a free account is required to claim the game, but afterward, it's yours to keep forever. To add the game to your Bethesda.net account, head over here first and log in, then apply the code TES25TH-MORROWIND when prompted. The launcher itself is available to download through here.

This giveaway is for the Game of the Year Edition of Morrowind, so you get access to both of the game's expansions - Tribunal and Bloodmoon - and other addons with it as well.

In addition to the giveaway, Bethesda is also making the Elsweyr Prologue Quest in Elder Scrolls Online free to all players, and a free play week event for the MMO is planned to begin on March 28. Meanwhile, Elder Scrolls Legends players can now pick up a free bundle containing a "25th Anniversary card back and three card packs," by just logging in.

Don't forget that Bethesda will be returning to E3 this year as well, and it has already confirmed that Doom Eternal will be making another appearance on stage at this event, among other unannounced reveals. We might even get a proper look at The Elder Scrolls VI this time.

Update: The company took to Twitter earlier today to announce that the giveaway would last through the weekend.
