8bitdo has earned itself a reputation for its gaming accessories, which mostly focus on reviving old and classic hardware in some way. The company's latest offering is the Gbros. Adapter, and it lets you hook up some of your classic controllers and use them wirelessly with your Nintendo Switch or a PC via Bluetooth.
The adapter has two ports, one for GameCube controllers and one for Wii Classic controllers, and others that may use those ports. Now, the NES Classic Edition and SNES Classic Edition both include controllers that use the same ports as the Wii Classic Controller, so you can use them here as well, giving you a whole range of classic controller options.
This isn't the first time 8bitdo provides an option to turn your older controllers wireless, but it is probably the safest way to do so. Earlier this year, the company introduced kits that allow customers to modify their own controllers to become wireless, but the Gbros. Adapter should save you some time tinkering with your controllers.
Support for the GameCube controller is particularly relevant for fans of the upcoming Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Loyalists of the franchise have long touted the controller as the best one to play the game, and Nintendo has even announced a special edition of it to go along with the game's release. If you'd like to save some money while avoiding the hassle of cables going across your room, this could very well be a good alternative.
