Today at Computex, HP announced the ProBook x360 440 G1, a mid-range convertible that's aimed at power, security, and durability.
Starting at $599, it comes with an Intel Celeron 3865U processor, and goes all the way up to a Core i7-8550U. There's an option for dedicated graphics too, with a 2GB Nvidia GeForce MX130. It comes with 16GB RAM, and up to a 512GB SSD. The 14-inch screen comes in at 1080p, but there's no Sure View option.
The prosumer convertible has HP BIOSphere Gen4, which is a firmware ecosystem that's meant to protect the BIOS. On top of that, the company is promising "commercial-grade durability and easy serviceability".
The ProBook x360 440 G1 comes with two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one of which can be used for charging even when the laptop is turned off. There's also a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port for data transfer speeds of 5Gbps, and it supports mechanical docking.
And of course, it has everything you'd expect from a 360-degree convertible, with multiple form factors and pen support. The HP ProBook x360 440 G1 will be available in June, starting at $599.
