New video shows us more of the Pixel 3 XL; 6.7-inch display and three front-facing cameras

It was only a couple days ago when we reported on a new video, showing off the exterior of the upcoming and unannounced Pixel 3 XL. Apparently, that same individual has posted a new video of the device, giving us a good look at its specifications and software.

The video isn't fancy but it does give those that are curious, confirmation about the Pixel 3 XL's specifications. There are many parts in the video that show off different specifications, but XDA Developers has pulled all of the juicy details and created a list that's easy to read.

  • 6.7-inch display 1440×2960 resolution
  • Qualcomm 845 processor, Adreno 630
  • 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage
  • 12.2MP rear camera, 3 x 8.1MP front-facing camera
  • Active Edge
  • 3,430 mAh battery
  • Android 9 Pie

While a majority of the specifications are what you would expect to find on a top-tier handset for 2018, there are some curious areas, like the report of their being three front-facing cameras. Also, the handset seems a bit lacking when it comes to the RAM, when compared to some of its competitors. But, mind you, this isn't a retail model, so things could end up being different when it is officially released or the software could be reporting values in error.

If the early public reception of the handset is any indication, the design of the Pixel 3 XL is certainly not popular. But hopefully, the specifications, along with prompt Android updates, and a powerful camera will be enough to garner sales for Google. If not, maybe it will need to rethink its handsets going forward. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are rumored to launch on October 4.
