Google's unannounced Smart TV kit with new Chromecast model shows up in new image

We are a week away from Google's October event and thanks to some unofficial leaks over the past couple of months, we have seen quite a bit of what might be announced. While there is no sure way of telling what might be announced that day, there is a good chance that new Pixel phones will make an appearance, along with some new Chromecast products.

While the post has now been pulled, an image of a Google Smart TV kit was posted to Reddit, showing off a bundle that included a Google Home Mini and Chromecast. If you look closely, you will see that the image of the Chromecast on the box looks different than what is currently available, and looks identical to the unannounced model that we saw last week. The Verge speculates that the uploaded image comes from an employee of Walmart, as the previous Google Smart TV kit was sold exclusively through the retailer.

We won't know for sure until Google's October 9 event, but it will be interesting to see what the company has in store when it comes to its hardware segment.
