Samsung exhibits The Wall Professional modular display at InfoComm 2018

Samsung caught the attention of many attendees at CES 2018 when it put on display a 146-inch modular, microLED TV called The Wall, which is claimed to be the world's first modular display for consumers. A month later, the South Korean tech giant launched a business-ready version of The Wall at ISE 2018 in the Netherlands: The Wall Professional.

The commercial MicroLED display is taking center stage again at InfoComm 2018 in Las Vegas, along with other Samsung-built display and digital signage solutions. Being a modular display, The Wall Professional is designed in such a way that its modules can be removed or added in accordance with the display size requirements of customers.

Samsung also announced that customers can now pre-order The Wall, which will be shipped beginning in the third quarter of 2018. The modular display is capable of achieving a brightness of up to 1600nit with a backlight-free imagery, thanks to its HDR10+ technology and microLED pixel modules. The Wall Professional combines black base with a super low reflection black technology to produce pure black levels in addition to its excellent color qualities.

Business customers will be able to craft content and manage its deployment across an entire network of digital signage using MagicInfo 6, the latest version of Samsung’s content management platform. It runs on the Tizen 4.0 operating system and allows content teams to remotely change the design and schedule of content. MagicInfo 6 also works to help check the status of the hardware device and perform troubleshooting, if necessary.

Other Samsung display solutions that can be seen at InfoComm 2018 include the 85-inch Dual Sided Outdoor Signage display (Model OH85N-D), the two smart UHD signage series, QMN and QBN Series, and the IF Series LED Signage (P1.2 model).
