Fallout Shelter is now out for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 for free

Just as Todd Howard announced during the Bethesda E3 presentation, Fallout Shelter has now been released on the Nintendo Switch and the PlayStation 4. Even on the new platforms, the pricing has not moved from its original position, with the game still being offered free of charge on their respective online stores.

The vault management casual title was initially announced three years ago during the company's 2015 E3 presentation, where it arrived for iOS devices on the same day. The release was followed by Android, Windows, and Xbox One versions as years went by.

For those unfamiliar, the game tasks players with managing a Vault-Tec facility as its Overseer, who must take care of expanding the vault as well as its occupants using various methods. Dangers from the Wasteland will threaten the vault's well being too, ranging from gangs to Deathclaws.

Elsewhere on the mobile front, Bethesda also announced The Elder Scrolls: Blades, a full RPG experience for iOS and Android with console-quality graphics. Meanwhile, those looking for a full-fledged Fallout experience may want to have a look at Fallout 76.
