This ones a bit confusing for everyone involved; SamFirmware, a group that releases Samsung ROMs for various phones has tweeted that they believe the company will stop manufacturing Windows Phones at the end of 2012.

that it's odd considering how well Samsung devices have done sporting Windows Phone 7. It's possible Samsung is planning on focusing on Android instead of so many platforms, but this doesn't seem very likely considering how many legal battles are taking place over Android right now. It's possible that Samsung wants to pursue their own mobile OS -- Bada -- further, and believes that they can only do this by focusing on the one platform.

Either way, this rumor is extremely strange, considering that it predicts the company will drop phones over a year and a half from now. That's pretty long term, and if some analysts guesses are right about Windows Phone 7's growth, Samsung may just change their tune anyway.
