HTC is bringing its Flame Red U12+ to the United States

Today, HTC announced that its U12+ flagship smartphone is available to pre-order in the United States and Canada in its Flame Red color. Announced back in May, the U12+ already comes in Translucent Blue and Ceramic Black, and while Flame Red was announced, it never made its way to North America until now.

HTC's newest flagship handset includes Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 chipset, along with 6GB RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage; however, the 128GB storage model is only available in Translucent Blue.

It also includes Edge Sense 2, which received tepid reviews. The feature promises "one-handed freedom to double tap to navigate the device, hold to lock the screen orientation, or squeeze the sides for taking photos and videos, zooming in on maps, and virtually any interaction." And of course,, it includes HTC's other signature features like BoomSound and the body's Liquid Surface.

If you want to check out the U12+ in Flame Red, you can find it on HTC.com here. It's available for $799 in unlocked, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon models, although there are installment plans available. The new color will begin shipping next month.
