Samsung pretends the Galaxy Note9 is more powerful than an iPhone X in new Ingenius ad

A few weeks ago, Samsung launched an ad showing a customer asking an Apple Store employee about how Samsung's phones get faster download speeds than iPhones. Later, Qualcomm followed up with some actual numbers seemingly proving that it's true, and the Snapdragon modems outperform the iPhone's Intel-powered modems.

Samsung has made a few of its Ingenius ads since then, and the most recent ones come today following the firm's announcement of the Galaxy Note9 handset. This one boasts power, with the Apple Store employee once again making a fool of himself by saying things like, "But you know what I think is powerful? Being able to unlock your phone with your face." Obviously, the customer points out that the Note9 does that too.

The odd thing about the ad is that the Note9 isn't more powerful than an iPhone X. Early benchmarks have shown the iPhone X to do better, and this isn't even surprising since the Galaxy Note9 is using the six month old Snapdragon 845, the same chipset that was included in the Galaxy S9.

There was one other video posted as well, which boasts pen functionality and mocks the iPhone for forcing users to use their fingers, just like you have to on the Galaxy S9.
