Amazfit releases Stratos, its premium $199.99 multisport GPS smartwatch

Huami is a Xiaomi sub-brand that started its business in 2016 and has released a few products, most under the Amazfit moniker, with its latest being the Stratos. The watch was initially announced during CES but is now available for purchase from the firm's website.

The Amazfit Stratos is being advertised as "a premium multisport GPS smartwatch" with a 1.34-inch always-on transflective color touchscreen LCD display, a polished ceramic bezel, and stainless steel physical buttons. The device supports 22mm bands that can be swapped out for customization and is capable of tracking a variety of sports and activities, 12 in all, like running, walking, cycling, swimming, tennis, soccer, and skiing.

The Stratos can automatically track your "daily steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, heart rate and sleep quality" and also offers optional movement reminders. When the watch is connected to a supported iOS or Android device, it will be able to receive notifications from texts, emails, calls, and other supported apps.

The Stratos also has built-in storage that will allow users to take music with them. You can pair Bluetooth headphones with the watch and be on your way listening to tunes. The device can be synced to the Amazfit app or through Strava for data tracking. The smart watch can be purchased from the Amazfit website and costs $199.99.
