This year at CES 2018, Intel announced its new eighth-generation H-series processors that included dedicated AMD Radeon graphics. The first two third-party devices to use these new chips are from Dell and HP, and Intel has its first-party NUC.
Intel's booth at CES once again offered a broad range of experiences. For one thing, it showed off PCs with eighth-gen chips, including the new H-series and the U-series. Devices there included the 15-inch Surface Book 2, HP Spectre 15 x360, Acer Nitro 5, Dell XPS 15 2-in-1, and much more.
After checking out the new PCs, there was an immersive 5G demo booth. Surrounded by LED lights, which were probably overkill, there was a demonstration about how someday soon, everything will be connected to the internet via 5G. People won't be limited to their home Wi-Fi when using things like virtual reality, for example.
And aside from all of that, Hisense had its booth next door, and I caught a look at a laser light show performance, which felt ... awkward. Check out my time at the Intel booth below:
