Amazon releases its Kindle Oasis in Champagne Gold

Amazon's most expensive e-reader is being released in a new color today. You can now pre-order the Kindle Oasis in Champagne Gold, whereas it was previously only available in Graphite. The new flavor is only available in the 32GB Wi-Fi only model as of right now, so if you want cellular, you're still stuck with the Graphite color.

The second-generation Kindle Oasis was launched in October, boasting that it's now waterproof. It also has a larger screen than other Kindles currently on the market at seven inches, and it ditched the buggy battery cover that was found on the first-gen model. The other big new feature is integration with Audible audiobooks, so users can now listen to their books with Bluetooth headphones.

The thing that sets the Oasis apart from the rest of the Kindle lineup is the spine. This makes it easier to handle with one hand, and it can be controlled with the physical buttons on the front.

If you pre-order the Champagne Gold Kindle Oasis right now, you'll get it when it comes out on March 22. That's a pretty sweet deal, because if you ordered the Graphite one, it won't ship for another seven to nine weeks.

You can check out the Kindle Oasis on Amazon here, and it will run you $279.99 with ads, and $299.99 without them. Make sure to read through our review before you buy one.
