Google rumoured to launch two Nexus smartphones in partnership with LG and Huawei this year

It seems Google may not be planning to launch a new Nexus tablet any time soon and will launch two smartphones this year.

Google has been rumored to launch its Nexus smartphone in partnership with a Chinese OEM but now it seems there might be more than one device coming from the company as LG has also been named as one of the manufacturers involved in making the next Google smartphone. Huawei's name had popped up a couple of times since the last rumor and now it seems to be a confirmation of sorts.

According to the report from Android Police, the LG smartphone codenamed "Bullhead" will be based on a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor and will feature a 5.2-inch screen, while the Huawei made "Angler" smartphone will be a 5.7-inch device with a Snapdragon 810 processor. The battery size is allegedly rated at 2700 mAh and 3500 mAh respectively.

The report mentions that there are no tablets being developed or planned by Google and it is highly unlikely that Google will launch the rumored Nexus 9 tablet this year. Both the smartphones, on the other hand, can be expected to launch simultaneously during the month of October in line with the usual Nexus release cycle.
