Amazon has just announced that it is introducing grocery pick-ups at its Whole Food Market stores. With this new option, Prime members can shop at Whole Foods Market online and pick up their order in around half an hour – as an added bonus, Amazon says you don’t even have to leave your car to fetch your goods.

Discussing the launch, Stephenie Landry, Worldwide Vice President of Prime Now, AmazonFresh, and Amazon Restaurants, said:

“Pickup from is a perfect option for customers who want to grab healthy and organic groceries at their convenience, all without leaving their car. A customer can order at , pick up at , and we’ll have their groceries loaded into their car just minutes after arrival. For an even faster experience, customers can tell us they are on their way using the Prime Now app and groceries will be ready as they arrive.”

In order to use the new feature, Prime members can place their orders with the Prime Now app and choose the pick-up option at checkout. Pick-ups are free on orders of $35 and are ready in as little as an hour, or in 30 minutes if you pay an additional $4.99 fee. For now, this option is only available in Sacramento and Virginia Beach but Amazon plans to expand it to more cities throughout the year.

If you’re not in a pick-up area, you can also place orders for a delivery. Both deliveries and pick-ups are available between 8 AM and 10 PM every day. Prime members also get 10% off (and other discounts) when they shop at Whole Foods Market when shopping in-store, choosing pick-up, or choose to have goods delivered via Prime Now.
