Microsoft releases Windows 10 build 17134.83 - here's what's new

The Windows 10 April 2018 Update was released just over a month ago. Today, Microsoft released the third cumulative update for the feature update, with builds 17134.48 and 17134.81 rolling out during the month of May.

Today's update is KB4338548, and it brings the build number to 17134.83. You can manually download it here, and it contains the following fix:

This update addresses an issue where the 2017 and 2018 versions of Intuit QuickBooks Desktop can't run in multi-user mode on Windows 10, version 1803 devices. The QuickBooks multi-user mode service fails to start with error “Windows could not start the QuickBooksDBXX service on Local Computer." and “Error 193: 0xc1”.

There are no known issues with this update.

Microsoft will be releasing another cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1803 next Tuesday, which will contain a much longer list of fixes, and it will also come alongside of updates for all supported versions of Windows. If you're waiting for a fix in the April 2018 Update that doesn't have to do with QuickBooks, you're more likely to see it then.
