Microsoft releases firmware updates for Surface Pro with Spectre and Meltdown fixes

Microsoft is releasing a series of firmware updates for its newest Surface Pro PCs. Dated March 15, they contain additional fixes for the Spectre and Meltdown vulnerabilities that were discovered earlier this year.

There are updates for both the regular Surface Pro, and the new one with LTE Advanced. Here's what you'll see on the Wi-Fi only Surface Pro (model 1796):
