Shattered expectations: Moto Z2 Force leaked, and the US model will only have 4GB RAM

On Tuesday, Lenovo will hold its #hellomotoworld event, where the company is slated to announced the Moto Z2 Force. The invitations says to "get ready to shatter your expectations", and it looks like the Lenovo-owned Motorola will stay true to its word, but perhaps not in the way that it meant, as the US model will have lower end specs than the rest of them, according to a report from VentureBeat.

Naturally, the handset will include Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 chipset, which is the same that's used in HTC's U11 and Samsung's Galaxy S8, and it will use a 1440p OLED ShatterShield display. The device will also replace its predecessor's 21MP camera with dual 12MP sensors, along with a 5MP front-facing camera.

As far as storage goes, there will be a 128GB model for China, with a 64GB variant for the rest of the world. If that's not enough, there will be SD card support for up to 2TB. But the world still gets 6GB of RAM, while the United States will clearly have the most modest specifications with a lowly 4GB of RAM.

And while the original Z Force was only 7mm thin, the report says that the the new model will shave nearly 1mm from the body, resulting in a battery with a 22% smaller capacity, at 2730mAh. It will be available in Super Black And Fine Gold, and T-Mobile will have a Lunar Grey color.
