Division 2 will get free content updates during its first year, cinematic trailer out

Ubisoft unveiled Tom Clancy's The Division 2 with a gameplay trailer yesterday at Microsoft's E3 presentation, and during its own presentation, the company rolled a brand new cinematic trailer, showcasing Washington D.C.'s state after the smallpox virus and gangs have run their course.

The game's creative director Julian Gerighty came on-stage to share some new details regarding what sort of end-game content players can expect to see in the sequel as well. After completing the main campaign, players will be able to select specializations, which come with their own signature weapons like crossbows, as well as new abilities.

Moreover, up to eight players will be able to tackle the new game's raids, up from the original's Incursion player cap of four.

The game will also receive a full year of free content following its release, arriving as three episodes that bring new storylines, areas to explore, as well as activities. This should help in keeping the player base from splitting apart across premium expansions, an issue that the original Division had.

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is slated to arrive on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on March 15, 2019.
