The OnePlus 2 is official, starts at $329

After a few months of teasing and a last minute leak, the 'OnePlus 2' has finally, officially been unveiled. Since a majority of the specifications had already been disclosed previously, the only real surprise was the price.

Just in case you haven't been following the news on the OnePlus 2, the handset will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor, 4GB RAM, fingerprint scanner, 3300mAh battery and will also support the new USB Type C with a reversible USB port. OnePlus has opted not bump up the '2' to a 4K display and will instead offer a 5.5" 1080p display.

The OnePlus 2 will also pack some power in the optics department, as it will have a 13MP laser-focus camera with optical image stabilization. The sensor will also have 1.3µm pixels, which will offer better lowlight images. The front will have a 5MP shooter. One of the more unique features, although not new, is the use of a dedicated hardware switch that will allow you to change your devices sound profiles on the fly. Lastly, you will be able to finally add a little flair your OnePlus device by purchasing one of the available back covers.

The OnePlus 2 will start at $329 USD for a 16GB and $389 for the 64GB model. The phone will support dual SIM and have global LTE coverage. But, like the previous model, you will be required to purchase the phone via an invite.
