Google finally responds to an eight-month-old panorama camera issue on the Pixel 2

Source: Google

While there are plenty of reports on how the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL offer the best camera when compared to other Android handsets currently on the market, they aren't without their own problems. For the past eight months, Pixel 2 owners have been dealing with focusing issues when it comes to shooting panoramas. While Google has remained mum on the subject over the past year, it has finally managed to comment on the problem, only after someone fixed the problem for them.

Despite issuing a response, the tech giant was only able to muster up that it is aware of the issue and that it expects to release a fix for the problem later this year. Since the problem doesn't seem to be a priority for the team at Google, you do still have the option to fix it yourself, but it will require rooting your device. If you are curious to try, you can take a look at the instructions, download the necessary files, and start the process. Otherwise, you will have to be patient and wait or just upgrade to the Pixel 3 when it arrives in a few months.
