Samsung throws Galaxy Note9 owners a bone with Bixby

Since its launch, Samsung's Galaxy Note9 has been lauded by customers and tech pundits alike. Despite offering the most complete package when it comes to an Android phone, there are some areas that aren't that highly praised. Bixby has been a sore spot for many and Samsung hasn't really tried to do right by its customers with the release of the Galaxy Note9, making it so you couldn't disable the digital assistant on its latest phone. But now, the firm is making an appreciated change.

The latest update to Bixby won't allow you to disable the physical button, but Samsung is throwing its users a bone by giving them the option in settings to have the digital assistant summoned with either a single or double press of the button. The double press will no doubt reduce the chance of summoning Bixby by accident, but it will still probably happen every once in a while. You can choose to update to the latest version by heading into the 'About' menu in the settings for Bixby. Once you update, you'll have the option to set up your button configuration.
