Transference will give players more to think about after they've put down the controller

When it comes to games, some players like to dive into a world where there is plenty of meat to a story. For the past few years, more and more developers have put a focus on telling a story when it comes to developing their games. Ubisoft's Transference is an upcoming title that puts emphasis on story, being produced in collaboration with SpectreVision, a company co-founded by actor Elijah Wood.

The first person exploration game will focus on Raymond Hayes and his experiments with collecting brain data from subjects, which happen to be from himself and members of his family. Like any experiment, things can go wrong, and when the consciousness of all the members start to form a dark entity, that's when the player will take hold and navigate through the murk. The game will not only feature computer graphics but will also weave in live-action footage, which meant to stick with the player, well after they put down the controller.

Transference will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this fall. Those that want a more immersive experience will be happy to know that the game will also be available to play in virtual reality on PSVR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive.
